On November 12, 2025, the LVCO Planning Commission unanimously
voted to DENY Kaw Valley's SUP request.

On Thursday, January 15, 2026, Aaron G. March (counsel for Kaw Valley) included the following statement
in an e-mail addressed to Misty Brown (counsel for Leavenworth County).
 

“The county wants us to sell more as this will generate more royalty payments and
under our revised business model, generate more sales tax.”
 

As of February 3, 2026, no public records were available that clarify this statement. We will continue to request records as there is definitely something going on that was not a part of the SUP application which has yet to come before the BOCC.
